American Roadster
by Phil Denette
I am American, through and through, and that includes my choice of roadsters. No BMW Z4, or Miata MX5, or Honda S2000 for me. In fact, not only does my blood run red, white, and blue, but so does my Sol(stice). In my driveway, you'll find my red Solstice, my wife's blue Solstice, and my son's white Solstice. There's two Fords, a F250 Crew long bed and Freestyle CUV for Lowe's and Walmart.

10% more horsepower just by reprogramming a chip? In the past few years I have done dozens of performance tunes on the Ecotech engines found on Pontiac Solstices and Saturn SKYs (and other GM vehicles such as the Chevy Cobalt). On weekends, you will most likely find me doing tunes at the track. However, even for daily drivers, a simple ECM tune can make your roadster pop out of the start, give you more control, and increase your gas mileage.

Open Road Blog

I don't really consider myself to be an auto enthusiast, per se, don't race or go to car shows or add lots of aftermarket goodies, etc. However, what I lack in car knowledge, I make up in my passion for the open road, exploring scenic and often twisty country roads on weekend and weeklong trips in my cool new roadster.

LOST SOL Blog

Not only am I directionally challenged, but since buying one of the first Solstices offered on eBay, I can tell you that I have completely lost my heart and soul to this car.
My GM Roadster "Lost Sol" blog is all about how fun I am having with my new Solstice, including my unending search for the perfect array of performance and technological aftermarket products which might make this car even more enjoyable than it already is (if that is even possible).
